Description
Daturas, or devil's trumpets, are poisonous flowering plant belonging to the family Solanaceae. They are commonly known as daturas, and also moonflower, jimsonweed, devil's weed, hell's bells and thorn-apple. In this picture, a honeybee is trying to extract the nectar of this flower. In California, Datura is one of the latest flowers to be found in the summer, and is an important source of pollen for pollinators.
