Description
Hen and chicks, also known as succulents, have parts that are thickened, fleshy and engorged, which is an adaptation to retain water in dry climates. The word "succulent" comes from the Latin word sucus, meaning juice, or sap. I like the concentric pattern of the leaves of these plants, which form quite regular patterns. Monochrome rendering.
