Artist's Description
One winter morning in Petropolis, Brazil, my sister took me on a relatively short hike close to home. We ascended very fast, for the trail was steep. We got lost and wondered in the fog until we found a ridge, which we followed to this beautiful vista, know locally as the "crying rock". The wave of clouds is formed by the humidity that condenses on the ridge, then cascades down on the other side, like waves in the ocean.
